Built over several phases on a former brownfield site, the Riverside Mews features a total of 48 unique, upscale for-sale townhomes in Pittsburgh's trendy and eclectic South Side neighborhood. Designed by award-winning architects Perkins Eastman Architects and John Martine of Strada, this development has been designed to complement the rich architectural heritage of the neighborhood while creating a modern design and beautiful, light-filled living spaces.
Significant sitework was necessary at the beginning of the development in order to regrade the site and install new utilities as well as courtyard paving and landscaping. Constructed using masonry and wood framing with energy-efficient mechanical systems, each unit is then custom-designed to the owner's requested finishes, all while meeting Energy Star for Homes standards. One of the first "green" housing developments in Western Pennsylvania--as well as one of the largest--Riverside Mews demonstrates that it is possible to blend sustainable, environmentally-friendly materials and systems with great design to create homes that are energy-efficient and healthier for their occupants.
