Type: Renovation & New Construction Addition
The Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh needed a renovation and addition to an existing building on a restrictive residential site in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. In addition to updating the existing 110-year-old building with new roofing and siding and foundation work, new classroom and worship areas will be added to double the building size and accommodate grades 5-12. Unique finishes and modern features make this project spectacular, like stained glass preservation, colorful sytlized flooring, and a complex lighting automation system to ensure compliance with the Jewish Sabbath.
